MembershipThe Membership Committee promotes the benefits of membership and attendance at meetings, replies to inquiries regarding membership, receives and processes membership applications, receives and processes changes of address and employment submitted by members, updates NFPA’s listing of WNYPA members, notifies members of meetings, and publishes an on-line membership directory. The committee is chaired by the Second Vice-President of the Corporation and is open to all members. National AffairsThe National Affairs Committee monitors events, legislation and case law affecting paralegals nationwide, assists in the development of NFPA policy and WNYPA policies consistent with those of the Federation, and is authorized to assume responsibility for a NFPA committee assignment. It is chaired by the Corporation's Primary or Secondary NFPA Representative and is open to all members. NewsletterThe Newsletter Committee publishes the Association’s quarterly newsletter, Paramount. In this endeavor, it is responsible for content and on-line publication, including reporting activities and the compilation and editing of articles. The committee is chaired by the Editor of Paramount and is open to all members. |
Professional DevelopmentThe Professional Development Committee plans and conducts the Association's annual continuing legal education seminar, assists specialty section chairs and promotes attendance at specialty section meetings, conducts surveys, and advises members of other area CLE offerings. The committee is open to all members. ProgrammingThe Programming Committee plans general membership meetings and prepares meeting notices. It is chaired by the First Vice-President of the Corporation and is open to all members. Public RelationsThe Public Relations Committee obtains media publicity and/or coverage of WNYPA activities. It is chaired by a director or officer of the Corporation and is open to all members. |
